Following our earlier report on the rain and thunderstorm advisory for Bahria Town Karachi in March, another significant weather system is now on the way.
If you’re a resident of Bahria Town Karachi, brace yourself for stormy conditions over the next few days. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast windstorms, thunderstorms, and rain with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms across Karachi Division through April 4, 2026.
What’s causing this weather?
A westerly wave entered southwestern Balochistan on April 1 and is expected to persist until April 4. Under its influence, widespread storm activity will affect much of Sindh, including Karachi, with spells occurring at intervals throughout the period.

The advisory covers Karachi Division along with Jamshoro, Dadu, Larkana, Jacobabad, Kambar Shahdadkot, Sukkur, Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar, Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Mitiari, Thatta, Badin, Tharparker, and Umerkot.

Stay indoors during peak storm hours, avoid parking near trees or drainage channels, postpone any outdoor plans, and keep emergency contacts handy. Farmers in and around Karachi are advised to secure crops and livestock ahead of forecast hailstorm activity.
